Hooligan’s Club to be Open for Saturday’s Crew Match

After a meeting Wednesday with City of Columbus Building Services Department Director Tracie Davies, the Hudson Street Hooligans Club will be open for pre-game festivities ahead of the Columbus Crew match against the New England Revolution this Saturday.

There are many stipulations that come with this opening, as the club was issued a Time Limited Occupancy. This is dependent on two main conditions laid out by the city: That the doors either be rehung to swing outwards or propped open while the building is occupied, and that a firefighter, assigned by the Columbus Division of Fire, be on-site to perform a fire watch.

Since both of these conditions have been met the club will be open for business – as close to normal as possible – on Saturday.

Ticket sales that normally occur inside the Club will be taking place outside in order to provide more capacity inside the club for drink and merchandise sales.

There is still an HSH tailgate planned at Crew Stadium. The tailgate, in addition to providing overflow for the Club, will also be raising awareness and collecting donations for the Save Hooligans Fund. There will be food provided by Bar Louie Easton, Bar Louie Arena District, Cafe del Mundo and Penn Station Subs of Hilliard.

The Crew kicks off against New England at 7:30pm and the HSH Tailgate is slated to start at 4:30. The Club will be open for the better part of the day, pouring the first drinks at 4pm and closing at midnight.
